who we are
the designer
Bobby

Bobby Burdette’s passion for design is only matched by his love of West Virginia University Mountaineer football and hot wings. When he’s not partaking in the latter, he’s a true asset to OpenDoor Creative because he is proficient in both web and print design. Anyone can learn HTML, but Bobby’s knowledge of navigable design; strong composition and color balance make his websites both accessible and informative.

He began his career designing top-secret U.S. government websites (as in the “If we show you, then we’ll have to kill you” variety) at the Michael Baker Corporation. As an Art Director at The Paradiso Group, he created both print and outdoor advertising for UPMC Health Plan and UPMC Health System. With skills and sensibilities that are adaptable from one medium to another, he saves clients the money and time it would take to enlist the help of multiple designers. Oh yeah….and he promises not to get any barbeque sauce on anything.

Alexa

Alexa Seretti loves to write. She also loves working on behalf of social causes. How to combine the two? Join forces with a designer and build a business around working with companies and organizations in whose mission she believes. She’s not just a writer at OpenDoor Creative. She plays a big role in the concept phase of all of the advertising and can be extraordinarily opinionated on Bobby’s choice of color and images (much to his delight). She also works with clients one-on-one to ensure that everything OpenDoor produces aligns with their strategic objectives.

She’s written ad copy for UPMC Health System and UPMC Health Plan and wrote and edited new business proposals at Deloitte Consulting. She’s a graduate of the Leadership Development Initiative and remains actively involved with Leadership Pittsburgh. She is also a Crisis Line Specialist at Contact Pittsburgh as well as a member of the Zoar New Day Board of Directors and assists with the Carnegie Mellon Alumni newsletter.

Masters of Public Management, Heinz School, Carnegie Mellon University
BA, Journalism/Political Science,
University of Pittsburgh

OpenDoor Creative

We’ve got quite an imagination, but imagination alone doesn’t make good advertising. It has to be balanced with strategic-thinking to produce the kind of creative that gets results. Working in other industries before getting our agency experience means we're able to see things from the client's perspective. We know that each word and visual should move clients closer to their objectives. Here are some of the people we've helped.
